Summer travel season is rapidly approaching – read on to see which travel jewelry organizer is right for you! 

With summer just a stone’s throw away, many of us are getting ready for vacations.  Vacations of all types, from fun in the sun beach getaways to fab European excursions to simple weekend road trips and other jaunts!  Whatever type of traveler you are, and whatever your style, there IS a jewelry organizer designed to get your favorite gems from door to door in one piece!  Here are some of my best finds for the season.

For Light Packers and Backpackers – This goes for anyone who will be carrying most of her travel belongings on her back.  Whether you are backpacking through Europe or hiking into a friend’s wedding under a forest canopy, you still need to accessorize, whether you are in this camp-wedding or not!  What you’ll need:  Something compact, with just enough space for a few of each type of jewelry.  Try a Jewelry Roll – these fit into even the smallest luggage (or day-pack, if it’s a hike-in wedding).  They are similar size to an envelope, but meant for jewelry.

Medium Size Jewelry Collections on the GO!  Go for a Purse Style Jewelry Box.  Bonus – if you can fit your entire jewelry collection in one of these organizers – this one is very compact yet packs a punch in terms of storage, you don’t even have to pick what you want to take along – simply bring it all with you and decide at the hotel!  

Diva Travel Goddess:  You need choices.  Many many choices while on the go, for dinner, beach, sightseeing – the possibilities are endless, and so should be your jewelry choices.  My advice is to go as big and boxy as you want – it can’t hurt.  Just make sure you use something that has an interior that can take rolling around with grace – think zippers, button closure ring rolls, and a lock or latch on the cover.

Did you score any jewelry for Valentine’s Day?  I didn’t, but there’s something about this day of celebrating love that makes you want to bring out your best, or at least look at what you’ve collected over the years!  We all have different preferred styles.  Some of us love modern, some of us love traditional, and these preferences carry throughout every aspect of our lives, including fashion, home décor, jewelry and more!  Here are some great choices of jewelry boxes that represent different styles – something for everyone! 

Modern and Contemporary – If you are a gal who loves modern home décor (think black, white, chrome and bold “accent walls”), then there is certainly a jewelry organizer that will suit you.  Look for modern materials including faux leather, and soft, subdued appearances that include lots of right angles (squares and rectangles) as opposed to ornately carved woods, for example.  The Delaney Jewelry Box is a great choice.  It packs a punch in terms of capacity, with a tray for every type of jewelry, and when closed, it looks like an attaché, the perfect complement to your European style furnishings. 

Traditional and Classic – If you are more into the antique style, then you can stick with woods, which can stand out easily on your dresser or counter top.  Choose from a variety of finishes and wooden carvings, and extras that include mirrors, music boxes, velvet interiors, and more.  One of my favorite ways to get this traditional look are with the jewelry boxes that look like tiny pieces of furniture.  For example, a little dresser style box, complete with metal drawer pulls, or the adorable armoire style jewelry boxes that look like a little closet, such as the Layla Jewelry Box.  Whatever your preferred style is, don’t settle - keep looking until you find the right box to match your home décor!

An All Purpose Box or Container makes a great jewelry organizer!

A jewelry organizer doesn’t have to be fancy!  In fact, most of us find that while we go through life we are accumulating so much jewelry that, by the time we are adults, we probably have more than one jewelry organizer anyway!  It’s nice to have a really nice jewelry box for special items.  This is the kind of investment piece jewelry organizer that you will spend a good amount of money on probably.  Some people like an ornate, hardwood box with carved details.  Some like the little armoire type glass jewelry boxes for with lights for displaying jewelry on the dresser top.  But, for everyday jewelry, a great place to start is with a simple box on the counter of the bathroom.  Keeping a small selection of jewelry in the bathroom where you get ready is a great way to remember to accessorize your outfits properly.  I know that if I don’t see the jewelry staring me in the face, (by that I mean reminding me that it’s there), I simply will forget or feel to lazy to put any on.  My life is so busy that I’ve found that keeping two or three pairs of earrings, two necklaces and a bracelet or anklet right on the counter, with the box open, is easy enough for me to accomplish a finished look when I leave the house.  Every couple of months, I switch up the selection of what is in there to so that I’m not over wearing the same pieces.  Any type of box can serve this purpose.  These Faux Leather Boxes make a great jewelry organizer.  I actually have a folding box that I got at Christmas with an array of Victoria’s Secret perfumes – I simply put a square piece of cotton in there to protect the jewelry.  But, I’m thinking of upgrading…

Keepsake Box with Photo Frames:  A Jewelry Organizer as Pretty and Meaningful as the Jewels You Put in it!

I just saw this beautiful Jewelry Organizer and had to share!  Most people agree that jewelry is among their most cherished material possessions, and many more would also agree that precious photographs of their children, marriage, and other memorable life moments are even higher on the list!  This keepsake box brings the best of both worlds together simultaneously to offer a jewelry, keepsake and photo frame all in one piece!
